Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a kart racing game by Sonic Team and published by SEGA, released on September 25, 2025. It acts as a spiritual successor to previous Sonic Racing games, focusing on character customization and dimensional travel.

The game features a unique "CrossWorld Mechanic. "After the first lap of a race, the leading player chooses one of two "Travel Rings" on the track, and all players then warp to a new location to race the second lap in a different environment. This adds excitement and requires players to adjust to new tracks during the race.

Customization is a big aspect, allowing players to modify their vehicles significantly. There are five vehicle types: Speed, Acceleration, Handling, Power, and Boost, each catering to different playstyles. Vehicles can be built from three parts (Front Half, Back Half, and Tires) for personalized stats. Players can also unlock over 70 gadgets for special advantages.

Core gameplay includes familiar features like drifting, mid-air tricks, and collecting Rings to enhance speed. The character roster includes 24 characters from the Sonic series, with additional characters planned through updates and a Season Pass.

Various vehicle types cater to different gameplay approaches, with Speed focusing on top speed, Acceleration on quick recovery, Handling for control, Power for obstacle smashing, and Boost for rapid charge filling.

The game is available on several platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version coming later.
