Welcome Anker stair-climbing robovac system

The Anker stair-climbing robovac system, primarily embodied by Eufy's MarsWalker, is a groundbreaking innovation designed to eliminate one of the biggest limitations of traditional robot vacuums: multi-story homes. It's not a robot vacuum itself, but rather a dedicated robotic platform that transports compatible robot vacuums between floors.

How it Works

The MarsWalker functions as a robotic stairlift for your vacuum. A compatible Eufy robot vacuum, such as the new Omni S2 model, docks into the MarsWalker. It then utilizes a sophisticated system to ascend or descend staircases:

Four Motorized Arms ("Legs"): These arms can extend and retract independently, adapting to the contours of each step.

Track Drive System: Similar to tank treads, these provide secure grip and traction on various stair surfaces, including wood, tile, and carpet.

Advanced Navigation: Equipped with cliff sensors and 3D mapping capabilities, the MarsWalker creates a detailed map of the home's layout, allowing it to identify staircases and navigate them safely and precisely. It can handle straight, L-shaped, and U-shaped staircases with landings.

Once the robot reaches the desired floor, the robot vacuum can undock and commence its cleaning duties. When its work is done, or if it needs to recharge, the vacuum can return to the MarsWalker, which then transports it back to its charging station on the original floor.

Target Audience and Benefits

The MarsWalker is primarily aimed at homeowners with multi-story houses who desire a fully automated, whole-home cleaning solution. Traditionally, such homeowners either had to manually carry their robot vacuums between floors or purchase separate units for each level. The MarsWalker effectively solves this problem, offering:

True Hands-Free Cleaning: Eliminates the need for human intervention in moving the robot vacuum between floors.

Whole-Home Coverage: Enables a single robot vacuum to clean all levels of a house seamlessly.

Convenience for All: Particularly beneficial for individuals with limited mobility who find manual lifting challenging.

Smart Home Integration: Represents a significant leap forward in the autonomy and capabilities of domestic robots.

Compatibility and Future

Currently, the MarsWalker is designed to be compatible with specific Eufy RoboVac models, with the Eufy RoboVac Omni S2 being a key partner. Anker has indicated plans to expand compatibility to other Eufy models in the future. While the concept of a stair-climbing carrier is revolutionary, Anker is also exploring broader applications for this technology.

The Anker stair-climbing robovac system, through the MarsWalker, addresses a long-standing gap in the robot vacuum market, paving the way for truly comprehensive and automated home cleaning.

Availability and Pricing

The Eufy RoboVac Omni S2 is slated for a January 2026 release, with the MarsWalker expected to follow in Spring 2026. Specific pricing for the MarsWalker has not yet been revealed, but it is anticipated to be a premium product given its unique capabilities.
