Herman Miller Gaming has unveiled two new color variations for its Embody Gaming Chair, titled “Ignite” and “Nova,” thereby enhancing its selection of gamer-centric seating with innovative aesthetics inspired by activewear and fashion, respectively.
The lighter of the two palettes, “Ignite,” harmonizes mineral grey upholstery with vivid orange highlights, which the company characterizes as a “lively color combination” designed to keep gamers “motivated with each moment of gameplay. ”
This new colorway is more vivid and striking than any other options available within the Herman Miller Gaming collection, though the brand has deliberately chosen its placement, accentuating the back of the chair, the armrests, and seat height adjustments, while pairing this with a neutral grey and accentuating hints of black that effectively complement and subtly contrast one another.
Furthermore, if this particular shade of orange appears familiar, it is no coincidence; Herman Miller’s new “Ignite” orange draws inspiration from Nike’s legendary “Infrared” orange—a hue associated with the original Air Max 90 and several Jordan models, including the Air Jordan 6.
Conversely, the “Nova” variant melds deeper tones of navy, purple, and black, catering to players who prefer a more subdued aesthetic. The rich purple tone of the new edition provides a striking contrast to the lighter “Amethyst” shade featured in the previous Embody Gaming Chair, a colorway closer to lavender that was combined with white.
Created to offer gamers greater opportunities for personal expression, the new versions maintain the same ergonomic framework as the original Embody Gaming Chair—a design realized in collaboration with Logitech G and launched in 2020. Both new models incorporate the chair’s signature pixelated support system, copper-infused cooling foam, and a flexible backrest, intended to uphold posture, balance, and comfort throughout extended gaming periods.
