Marathon Watch, the premier provider of authentic military timing instruments to governmental entities and the general public, has officially announced the completion of its "Original Search and Rescue" (OSAR) series.
Following the success of the 41mm OSAR-D introduced in September 2024, along with the Arctic Edition launched in April 2025, the expanded collection now features new 36mm and 46mm models to cater to all wrist dimensions, available in both dial colors.
This introduction signifies the finalization of the OSAR series and reaffirms Marathon’s dedication to producing mission-capable tool watches.
Continuing the heritage of the renowned OSAR
Anchored in the tradition of the original 41mm SAR-D, which established the standard for Search and Rescue timepieces, the OSAR-D series is designed for operational readiness and optimal performance.
Enhanced attributes comprise refined MaraGlo™ illumination, larger geometric indices, and improved clarity of the cyclops date window.
The 36mm variant presents a more streamlined fit, while the 46mm variant offers enhanced visibility and readability, even under the most adverse conditions.
To further facilitate legibility in bright or snow-blinded environments, Arctic white dials are available across the entire series.
"Finishing the OSAR series is a significant achievement for our legacy," remarks Mitchell Wein, President of Marathon Watch. "This collection epitomizes decades of expertise in crafting mission-ready watches for Search and Rescue personnel. It encapsulates our dedication to precision, durability, and service. "
Features and Build
Every OSAR model is powered by a reliable Swiss-manufactured Sellita automatic movement: the SW200 for the 36mm and 41mm editions, and for the first occasion, the SW600 for the 46mm edition, which offers an impressive 62-hour power reserve.
Each watch also features an Incabloc® Shock Absorber, guaranteeing the durability and dependability necessary for extreme operations.
The completion of the OSAR series further enhances Marathon's legacy of creating purpose-driven instruments that are trusted by military and search and rescue professionals globally.
